Shortly after Ryder's first birthday we learned that our little boy had hearing loss.
Ryder had a hearing aid for about a year but his hearing loss was progressive and by his 2nd birthday he had a profound level of hearing loss. We visited numerous audiologists and had more hearing screens than we could count. When we met Tanya we decided we wanted to move forward with cochlear implants. Tanya was extremely knowledgeable and allowed us to ask as many questions as we needed to feel comfortable with the process. Ryder has been implanted for over 3 years and has made incredible gains with a listening and spoken language.
Tanya has been so patient with the energy of our toddler and genuinely wants her patients to hear the world. She will always hold a special place in our life! We are forever thankful for the technology of cochlear implants!
